Sport England has announced funding from the National Lottery of £10 million which is to be spent in rural areas to increase participation in grass-root level sports. The Rural Community fund is the first of its kind to address the challenges that effect sport in rural areas. more

The City of London’s annual sponsored swim took place last weekend and was a resounding success. Nearly 300 swimmers entered the event, which was opened on Friday 26th by the Rt. Hon The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Nick Anstee, who started off proceedings by swimming ten lengths. more
